Cognitive Offloading

Our brains collect so much junk over time that it interferes with our focus, our productivity, and our default ruminations. Cognitive offloading will empty the garbage can in our minds and open up space for clarity, purpose, intention. This can be done as easily as writing something down.

It is important to note that delegating information storage to something else (like a note system or digital storage) runs the risk of being harder to remember when you can't access the thing that holds the information.
